My Journey through Breast Cancer

On October 11, 2013, I was diagnosed with Stage II Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) ... or as we like to call it, extreme measures for a nap (EMFN). For a while, this blog will be my cancer journal. Enter at your own risk.

One of the unfortunate parts of my diagnosis is the need to wean Eowyn. This makes me sad because I love breast feeding, and she's my last baby. However, it is a blessing how easily she ended up taking to the bottle and formula. It was touch and go there at first, but she caught on and is doing great now! For now, I'm still getting to breast feed twice a day, and hopefully that lasts until surgery. And fortunately, this little butterball is still quite the cuddler, which makes up a bit for the lack of breast feeding.

Weaning would be hard for me too. Have you considered a breastmilk bank? You'd probably qualify for free milk. Hang in there!
