My Journey through Breast Cancer

On October 11, 2013, I was diagnosed with Stage II Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) ... or as we like to call it, extreme measures for a nap (EMFN). For a while, this blog will be my cancer journal. Enter at your own risk.

Mother's Day

I had a lovely day on Sunday. I was taken good care of by my husband (in honor of my children). We had a nice time at church, where the 4th-6th graders had a throne set up for all moms and their kids. So we had our picture taken. How could we not?

In the afternoon I had the opportunity to go out alone. I went to JoAnn's and found some fun fabrics on sale. I love browsing fabrics! And I got to go to Target and wander, not just conquer. And then after I got home and fed Eleanor, I got a nice long nap, the best gift of all! The girls also had cards for me, and a new drink dispenser for summer (like a bucket with a spigot.) Yay for backyard picnics!

In the afternoon I had Caleb take some photos of me with the kids. Being the mom, and enjoying photography myself, I've realized lately that I'm in hardly any photos with my kids ... ever. A random stranger might look at the pictorial history of my family and think they were motherless! So, here's a few mom's day photos with the girls.

PS: I'd love copies of the pix.
