My Journey through Breast Cancer

On October 11, 2013, I was diagnosed with Stage II Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) ... or as we like to call it, extreme measures for a nap (EMFN). For a while, this blog will be my cancer journal. Enter at your own risk.

Well, it looks like natural labor just isn't something my body is interested in. And since the docs won't induce labor after a c-section (it increases the chance of rupture, you see), my doctor and I have simply scheduled Ella's delivery. I have a scheduled c-section for Tuesday afternoon at 5:00! And though I'm not thrilled about recovering from a c-section (as opposed to natural delivery), we're getting very excited to meet our little girl. I'll most likely be discharged on Christmas day ... a memorable Christmas indeed! We'll post pictures as soon as we can.

Ah man, you mean they didn't have any openings today? Or did you just need to finish a few things before she comes? We'll be praying for you Tuesday - Caleb Webster's birthday - and know everything's going to go great!
