My Journey through Breast Cancer

On October 11, 2013, I was diagnosed with Stage II Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) ... or as we like to call it, extreme measures for a nap (EMFN). For a while, this blog will be my cancer journal. Enter at your own risk.

David, what kind of spider is this?

We found this spider hanging out just outside the garage a few days ago. Its beautiful, isn't it? Well, as far as creepy-crawlies go. I just found out tonight that nobody killed it, and now we don't know where it is. So, before it attacks me in my sleep, as I'm pretty sure it will, I'd like to know if its poisonous ... or just scary.

Ooo, you got another weaver spider. We got a couple of those when David and I were staying there shortly after you guys got married. Rachel shot one with a BB gun... They are cool though.

Just scary. It is a garden spider. They make really strong webs, which makes them really scary to walk through. There is a variety that even makes golden yellow webs.

There are no poisonous spiders but they are all venomous, so you better watch your back. And yes Rachel shot a similar one and it exploded.
