My Journey through Breast Cancer

On October 11, 2013, I was diagnosed with Stage II Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) ... or as we like to call it, extreme measures for a nap (EMFN). For a while, this blog will be my cancer journal. Enter at your own risk.

Easter Sunday

This year we spent Easter in Thousand Oaks with Caleb's family. It was a lovely weekend, complete with good food, good fellowship, a fantastic Sunday morning service at Camarillo Community Church (in which my BIL Lucas sang the closing song while cardboard testimonies walked across the stage ... it was quite powerful), and of course, the chaos of five kids under age 4. I don't have any pictures of adults this time, but as usual, too many pictures of kids. I thought I'd share ....

Burke collecting eggs in the front-yard-Easter-egg-hunt. (Btw, I love the elbow patches on his sweater!)

Conrad showing us me his egg-shaped sidwalk chalk.

We started the "grandkids picture" photo shoot with just Lucas and Christie's kids. Burke is holding Dominic and Conrad is holding Aurora. They're such good big brothers.

Then we added Josephine to the mix and chaos ensued.

"I just can't take it anymore!" Ah, my little drama queen. She and her cousin Burke should be quite the pair in that department.

Josephine going in for another bout with Dominic ... she grabbed his face in an earlier photo shoot and left a nice little scratch.

Rory lets us all know what she thinks of Josephine. Josephine is trying to escape. Burke wants to know "are we done yet?" and Conrad actually seems to be enjoying the whole affair. And, is Dominic holding up the finger I think he's holding up? Oh, are we already preparing ourselves for Christmas.

I think Burke's exact words were "I don't want to hold babies anymore!"

Yes, Christmas ought to be really interesting with all five of them more mobile! We might want to switch to video for that!

Thanks for sharing.
