My Journey through Breast Cancer

On October 11, 2013, I was diagnosed with Stage II Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) ... or as we like to call it, extreme measures for a nap (EMFN). For a while, this blog will be my cancer journal. Enter at your own risk.

new babies!

My brother-in-law and his wife have new babies! They've added a second set of twins to their family, this time a boy and a girl: Dominic Drew and Aurora "Rory" Claire. Big brothers are Conrad and Burke, not quite 3 1/2 years old. So, if you think of it, you can pray for Lucas and Christie and their quickly-expanded family of four kids under four. Dom and Rory were born on Saturday night last week and we went up on Thursday to give everyone some love and get in some baby-holding time ourselves. I only have one picture of the new babies ... but there was a lot going on while we were up there, and they slept most of the time. Anyway ... enjoy the few pics from the day.

Josie enjoyed her first bean bag experience ....

Orrrrrr, maybe not.

All the sudden 17-pound Josephine is GIANT baby. I'm holding Rory and Caleb is holding Dominic, both very casual sleepers.

There happened to be a beautiful sunset that night ...

... which Josephine and I enjoyed for a few minutes.

They look big for twins. Wow, hey, I have some girls clothes, I will bring down on Friday for them. I will keep them in my prayers.
