My Journey through Breast Cancer

On October 11, 2013, I was diagnosed with Stage II Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) ... or as we like to call it, extreme measures for a nap (EMFN). For a while, this blog will be my cancer journal. Enter at your own risk.

The Softball Tournament

For the third year in a row, our church softball team (on which Caleb plays first base) made it all the way to the championship round, which required winning two games in the hot sun .... and then proceeded to lose both final games. But they played their hearts out, which is more important, of course. And Josie and I had a good time with the other wives and kids hanging out to watch. (Warning: I have quickly become one of those moms who takes too many pictures of her daughter and is quite positive everyone else can't wait to see them.)

Josie didn't seem to mind her dad's sweaty shirt ... after two games in the hot sun, "sweaty" was an understatement.

My cousin's son Lincoln ate a blue ring pop ... which turned his mouth blue. I tried to get him to stick his tongue out for me, but he wouldn't.

Her fists are her favorite chew toy.

She loves to fly.

Really ... she loves to fly.

Just loungin'
