My Journey through Breast Cancer

On October 11, 2013, I was diagnosed with Stage II Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) ... or as we like to call it, extreme measures for a nap (EMFN). For a while, this blog will be my cancer journal. Enter at your own risk.

the anti-list

Caleb and I were talking today about some of the things I'm OK with NOT doing in my lifetime, and it inspired the following anti-list. Enjoy.

NOT On My List Of Things To Do Before I Die

1. survive a plane crash
2. stay in an ice hotel
3. be featured on the Shark Attack episode during Shark Week
4. have septuplets
5. sky dive
6. win the national hot dog eating contest
7. sing for an audience of thousands
8. be in a police lineup
9. spend time in a Mexican prison
10. get paid for medical testing
11. be the reason for the 7-mile backup on the freeway
12. be on a reality tv show

Help me finish my list. Send me your own "Don't need to do this in my lifetime" lists.

Hi Heidi :) Remember me? (hint: CCC at CPU Pomona...). Doug and I just moved to Oregon a few months ago. He's teaching math at a local high school, and I am homeschooling our 4 kids (age 8,7,5, and 16mo). After we moved I joined the ranks of blogdom to help stay connected w/ our SoCal fam & friends. I'm at www.homeschoolblogger.com/ lavidamama.

Oh - and here's my "never-wanna-do-it" item: be the subject of a Reader's Digest article. :)

Love, Robin

I've actually kind of done two of your anti-list items. I've sung before an audience of thousands and at the Hollywood Bowl no less! Well, it was actually with a group of about 100 Girl and Boy Scouts and we sang "God Bless America" as a United Way Kickoff! The other was to be the cause of a backup on the freeway--maybe not 7 miles but it did warrant a Sig alert! ;-)

Although I might sky dive, I wouldn't want to bungee jump!

Love you!
