My Journey through Breast Cancer

On October 11, 2013, I was diagnosed with Stage II Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) ... or as we like to call it, extreme measures for a nap (EMFN). For a while, this blog will be my cancer journal. Enter at your own risk.

last weekend and this weekend

Last weekend Caleb and I celebrated 6 years of blissful marriage! We celebrated by shipping the kids off to my parents' house overnight, eating dinner in a great little crepe restaurant in Pasadena, going out to breakfast on Sunday morning, and being first in line for The Avengers on Sunday afternoon! It was a lovely weekend, and especially nice to have some time at home without the kids.

First in line for 1:40 of The Avengers!

This morning we took the girls to the Brea Fire Station Open House. What a great event this was! The whole event is free, even the parking. We got hot dogs and chips and snow cones and popcorn and we saw several demonstrations, including watching the firemen use the Jaws of Life in an overturned car! They shot their fire house from 100 feet in the air, and they put out a car fire! (I would easily attend this event, even if I didn't have kids.) The kids got to talk to firefighters and climb inside the trucks. A great time was had by all.
