My Journey through Breast Cancer

On October 11, 2013, I was diagnosed with Stage II Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) ... or as we like to call it, extreme measures for a nap (EMFN). For a while, this blog will be my cancer journal. Enter at your own risk.

I'll laugh about this one day, right? RIGHT?

So, here's what can happen when a two-year-old and an orange sharpie get just five minutes of uninterrupted play time together:

The hall wall

Ella's crib ... she didn't miss a single slat

Ella's closet door

The curtains I made that hang under the desk in Ella's room
(this one felt like a personal attack on my handwork)

The chair in our bedroom

Our pillows

Our comforter

Apparently, everything looks better with an orange squiggle on it!

Reminiscent of the time her daddy ran around his bedroom in our rented apartment with a black marker! Nice black border about 30" from the floor all the way around the room. I feel for you.

Maybe it will wash out of some of the linens? Look online for some cleaning hints.

It will be one of those stories you tell her children!

In actuality you may never laugh about this but you will tell the story over and over again. There is solace in the telling.

This happened on a much smaller scale in the trailer we were using last time we were in the States. Truth be told, I was the one who made the accidental mark. Anyhow ... nail polish, lovingly and repeated applied got the mark out of fabric. Good luck!
