My Journey through Breast Cancer

On October 11, 2013, I was diagnosed with Stage II Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) ... or as we like to call it, extreme measures for a nap (EMFN). For a while, this blog will be my cancer journal. Enter at your own risk.

Pic of the Day

Here in Southern California we don't get much in the way of actual seasons. Sure, it dips down to the 60s in the winter, and we get a few inches of rain every year. But sometimes its 85 and sunny on Christmas day, and of course we never see snow in our backyards, and sometimes only rarely on the local mountains. This year, even Autumn seems to have come and gone in a week! We haven't missed it though. My parents have four beautiful liquid amber trees in the backyard, and this year they've lived up to their name and turned the most beautiful shade of gold, spilling their amber leaves all over the back yard. Here's Josie taking a moment to enjoy frolicking in our short Autumn season.

Our liquid amber tree lost all of its leaves this week too. Love the pic of Josie in the sea of gold!
