My Journey through Breast Cancer

On October 11, 2013, I was diagnosed with Stage II Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) ... or as we like to call it, extreme measures for a nap (EMFN). For a while, this blog will be my cancer journal. Enter at your own risk.

7 Months

All the craziness of the past few weeks has kept me from posting much (more on that in coming posts). But I figured if I wanted to post Josie's seven-month pictures before she's eight months old, I'd better hop to it.

I can't hardly believe our baby girl is already so old! The most fun new development is that she's eating real foods now. And it is hysterical to watch. She tends to groan through the entire meal, which makes for a noisy sitting. And she has to suck her two fingers on her right hand to help swallow every single bite. This causes about half of every bite to end up in her fist, and as the meal goes on and the fist fills up, the peas and the sweet potatoes and the peaches start running down her arm onto her leg. So not only does she end her meal with food all over her face and hands, but dripping down her potbelly and onto her legs as well. Perhaps we should take Caleb's advice and just strip her down naked for every meal and then hose her down when she's done.
